Working with fictional test data
Use these small datasets to check a table layout, try a file import or practise sorting and filtering without copying a real customer list. Each request creates ten rows. No customer records or account details are needed.
Choose the right dataset
- Users
- Names are randomly combined from short lists, with ages from 18 to 65 and email addresses ending in example.com. These are fictional entries; matching a real name is coincidental. Do not use them as contact records.
- Addresses
- Street numbers, street names, cities and five-digit postal codes are combined independently. They are not checked against real locations or national postal formats. Use them to exercise display and file handling, rather than delivery or address validation.
- Login details
- Usernames and short passwords are made for test records. The passwords are deliberately simple and unsuitable for real accounts. Use Node0a's password generators when you need a strong password.
Preview, download and check
Select a data type and choose Generate preview to inspect the field names and ten rows. Choose JSON for a structured list of records, or CSV for a spreadsheet-style file with a heading row, then select Download.
Download generates a new set of rows; it does not save the rows currently shown in Preview. If you need a repeatable test, keep the downloaded file and reuse that file. Each new preview or download can contain different values, and repeated names or usernames are possible.
Ten rows from limited lists will not represent a population or prove that a system can handle large volumes. Test missing values, unusual characters, long entries and duplicates separately where your workflow requires them. Never replace real account credentials with these sample passwords.
Node0a receives your dataset and format choices to generate the result; this tool does not ask you to upload personal information. Treat the downloaded file as fictional wherever you share it. Read the privacy policy for website data handling.
